SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will commence nonstop flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline plans to operate this route four times weekly. This new service creates an additional direct link between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, offering passengers access to two airports serving Amman. The flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 departs from Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now open via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The announcement of this route was made on October 8, more than a month before the first scheduled flight.
This new route from Sharjah expands Air Arabia Group’s existing network in Jordan, which already includes flights from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates flights connecting Zayed International Airport with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the group runs direct services from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah route provides another departure point for travelers heading to Jordan’s capital.
Second Jordanian Airport Joins Sharjah Network
Adel Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia Group, stated that the new service offers travelers an alternative airport in Amman. He highlighted that this additional connection will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will maintain its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a secondary gateway into Jordan within Air Arabia’s Sharjah route network.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Before adding the second Amman airport, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier already served Queen Alia International Airport. The airline reported that its expanded Abu Dhabi schedule provided 10 weekly flights to Amman when the new service started. The same two-airport arrangement will now extend to Sharjah.
Four Weekly Flights Strengthen UAE-Jordan Flight Links
The new flights from Sharjah will operate under the G9 169 and G9 170 flight numbers as per the published timetable. Air Arabia’s fleet primarily consists of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline also offers SkyTime in-flight entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers can book the new Amman City Airport flights through the airline’s usual sales channels ahead of the November start date.
This launch in November broadens Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan via several bases. Sharjah passengers will gain direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Passengers from Abu Dhabi already have routes to both airports through Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also maintains a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The new route adds four weekly flights from Sharjah to the group’s broader Jordan schedule.
