SafariOS applies conversational concierge technology previously used in hospitality and puts it to work in Tanzania’s visitor market. The first release is hotel guest assistance: property information, housekeeping and room-service requests, dining and transport guidance, and a path to a person when one is needed. From there the same conversation can open onto more of the journey — restaurants, excursions, safari operators, onward travel — as participating businesses come onto the platform.

Recently, Sungrow launched its energy storage manufacturing facility in Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone, with a planned annual production capacity of 10 GWh and operations set to begin in June 2027. Sierra Leone, one of the countries with the lowest electricity access rates globally, has long faced challenges from limited power infrastructure and unreliable electricity supply. The national grid relies on a single 161kV transmission line with a capacity of 70MW, connecting the Bumbuna Hydropower Plant to the distribution network of Freetown, Sierra Leone’s capital. Of the approximately 172,000 electricity users nationwide, 90% are concentrated in Freetown, leaving most regions with limited access to reliable power.
